Educational Centre RUNI is specialized in:

1. Students’ preparation for entrance examinations for language grammar and professional schools (since 1996).

These exams need special study and are very important for students because on the basis of their results students are ranked to the most preferable schools with better studying conditions and teachers.

  • Preparation for the university admission exams in Bulgarian language and
  • literature, mathematics, Bulgarian history and English as a foreign language (since 1997)

On the basis of university admission exams results students are ranked to the most desirable specialties.

2. Preparation for the international exam in English as a foreign language PITMAN-ESOL (since 1998).

PITMAN exams are becoming very popular in our country in the last few years. That is because they test the level of knowing English as a foreign language, have life-long validity and are user-friendlier than the exams offered by the British Council in Bulgaria. Our centre offers preparation mainly for the Intermediate level – B1 and B2 according to the Common European Language Framework.

3. Private individual lessons in all school subjects (since 1999).

These lessons are needed for better preparation in achieving higher marks at school and on different kinds of exams.

4. Preparation of lessons and homework assignments for pupils from primary schools – from 1st to 4th grade (since 2000).

Up to six people pupils prepare their tasks for school under teacher’s control. It is very helpful especially for busy parents because in few schools there are study-rooms and pupils are alone at home half of the day. (In Bulgaria pupils and students study only half day – from 7.30 a.m. to 13.30 p.m. or from 13.30 p.m. to 19.30 p.m., it depends on the type of school and the number of lessons they have per day).

5. Preparation for the school-leaving exams in different school subjects (since 2002).

These exams are held by students finishing their secondary education and are optional till now. However, the new conception in education plans they to become obligatory for students wanting to continue their education in universities.

6. Preparation for the international exam in Spanish as a foreign language D.E.L.E (since 2003).

These exams are very popular now because Spanish is becoming attractive and preferable for learning in the last decade and is taught in many schools as first or a second foreign language.

7. Personal and professional consulting under the guidance of a psychologist (since 2004).

The idea for the creation of this program is a result of a lot of inquiries from young and adult people about their self-realization in professional or personal sphere when they finish secondary or higher education or just want to realize themselves in another sphere but they do not know in which exactly.
Realizing the great necessity of determining the sphere of people’s interests and the importance of their future realization, the psychologists in the Centre worked out special programs for professional orientation and personal self-determination. In this way we stimulate the development of human’s personality as well as intellectual development. And the most important – in this way harmony between dreams, reality and value system is achieved. 
The program for professional consulting contains professional questionnaires and tests and on the results of them a list of preferable professions and activities are formed. This list is based on human’s personal qualities, abilities and value system. The aim of this program is to help students and adults find their right place on the labour market in accordance with their wishes, abilities and expectations. In this way they have a bigger chance for success.
Personal consulting offers individual and group work connected with inquiring into different sides of the development of human’s personality, qualities and abilities.

8. Working with gifted children (since 2005).

Two teachers hold this program with two groups – one is from eight students aged 14-15 and another is from eight pupils aged 10-11. The programs of both groups consist of different activities pointed to develop the mental abilities, lateral and creative thinking of gifted children – solving problems, puzzles and intellectual tests, brain storming, debate sessions, communicative programs, programs connected with developing their memory, attention and perception.
The elder group takes part in the Association Bulgarian Children and Youth Parliament where children and youths are taught in parliamentarism and work over solving real problems concerning the society as a whole.
